A New Vision for New Orleans:
My Commitment to Our City

• Infrastructure Investment
• Education
• Crime Reduction

Over the past several months, I have been truly humbled by the outpouring of support and encouragement from citizens across New Orleans urging me to run for citywide office. Your faith in my ability to lead our great city is deeply inspiring and profoundly humbling.

After prayerful consideration and meaningful consultation with my family, I have decided that the best way I can serve the people of New Orleans at this juncture is as a candidate for one of the two City Council At-Large seats.

Infrastructure Investment

This is at the top of my list!

I will prioritize leveraging federal and state resources for our infrastructure, public services, and community programs. The relationships I have developed will help support my innovative ideas to revitalize our city.

Education

Education is fundamental to the city’s future. I will work to strengthen partnerships with local schools, support innovative educational programs, and ensure equitable access to quality education for all children.

We also need strategic ideas for teacher pay raises. This investment will help break the cycle of poverty, curb crime, and empower the next generation.

Crime Reduction

Ensuring the safety of our communities is essential. Crime affects not only our residents but also tourism and conventions. We must promote community policing, implement effective crime prevention strategies, and foster collaboration between law enforcement and community organizations.

Moreover, we need to address the salary issues that hinder recruitment and retention of officers. By creating safer neighborhoods, we can foster a sense of security and encourage economic growth.

Youth Development and Enrichment

Year-round Youth Development and Enrichment Programs are vital for empowering young people. They enhance skills, support academics, promote emotional growth, and encourage healthy lifestyles.

By engaging youth in positive activities and fostering community involvement, these programs create safe environments that reduce juvenile crime. Continuous support boosts confidence, expands opportunities, and promotes inclusivity, ultimately helping youth thrive and contribute positively to society.

As the State Representative for District 102, Delisha Boyd has been instrumental in securing millions of dollars in funding for various initiatives that benefit our community.
